| HELIOS WebShare UB+ enables fast and secure real time remote file access via any web browser. Now authorized users can easily use your file server wherever they are, without exposing the server to the Internet. Working with files remotely has never been easier. Easy Remote File Access by customers, suppliers, business partners or employees will eliminate the need to make files available via e-mail, burning CDs, or FTP, which often cause compatibility problems and waste resources. Automatic e-mail notification allows monitoring when files are being accessed. The easy to use web interface means no user training is required. High Security is provided by a two-tier server application. The WebShare web server handles the web user interface on a separate server to ensure that the main file server is not available on the Internet. The server file system security is enforced according to the user credentials. Sharepoint based security allows further restrictions per user, e.g.: browse, preview, download, upload and file management. |
Remote Collaboration becomes a reality with the fully automated two-way access to the server data. File browsing and management allow authorized users to manage files and folders remotely, similar to the local Windows Explorer or Mac Finder. Optional HELIOS ImageServer and PDF HandShake provide remote document previews, and offer Internet clients a live content verification/proof of PDF, QuarkXPress, and InDesign documents as well as of all major image formats. Remote OPI allows web clients to download OPI low-resolution images from the server and to upload completed documents for later printing with high-resolution images. Authentication via LDAP, AD/PDC, NIS and local server users is fully supported by the authentication server included in HELIOS Base. Fastest Performance HELIOS WebShare is highly optimized for secure remote file access and provides several times faster download and browsing performance compared with FTP, WebDAV, AFP, and SMB/CIFS volumes mounted via the Internet. |

Flexible Licensing Scheme
The WebShare File Server license is tied to a file server machine and a certain number of users. There is a 5 or 20 user server base license available. Expansions are available in steps of addl. 10, 100 or unlimited users. Optional maintenance agreements: Software Upgrade Service, cold spare licenses.
