HELIOS Mac OS X Intel support status
All HELIOS UB products work with Mac OS X Intel clients. On the server side, preliminary beta tests show excellent performance on the entire Mac Intel series machines. Performance on the new Mac Pro and Xserve servers is even superior. HELIOS applications feature multi-process design (one process per session/job), and hence can fully utilize the multiple CPUs, which offer several times faster computing performance than G5-based machines.

At present, Acrobat is only available for Mac PPC. "Rosetta" works, but is slow |
1 "Rosetta" is an emulation method by Apple which allows automatic transformation of PowerPC programs into Intel code. It is suitable for small tools and utilities. For larger applications or computing-intensive tasks, the performance may not meet customer requirements.
